The Putnam House
This American Craftsman-style home was originally built in 1911 and, at the time, one of Bend’s most expensive residences. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the home was once owned by George Palmer Putnam, early publisher of The Bulletin and former Bend mayor, and Dorothy Bonney Putnam, heiress to the Crayola crayon fortune.
Skinner Construction, Inc. led the extensive remodel, which included major structural upgrades and the addition of a basement. The new owner has honored the home’s legacy by selecting authentic materials and vintage fixtures, while Skinner’s craftsmanship and attention to detail bring this historic gem back to life.
